Untitled (time is a fucked-up concept) - audio version Kurt Heintz, spoken-word engineer and founder of e-poets.net, graciously produced a three-minute rendition of one of my poems for me in 1999. The poem in question is a studio version of Untitled (Time is a fucked-up concept), influenced heavily by Kurt and I's mutual fascination with Laurie Anderson. It is 3 minutes and 23 seconds in length, and weighs in at about 2.8 megabytes (so plan your download time accordingly). The music you will hear in the background is from the album "Ride the Planet" by Todd Levin (Point Music, 1993). There are two ways to listen to this file. Some computers will let you simply click on the link below and will then automatically open the MP3 software necessary to hear the contents. If this doesn't work, you should right-click (Mac users, Control-click) on the link and choose the appropriate download option from your pop-up menu (either "Download to Disk..." or "Save Target As..." depending on whether you are on Netscape or Explorer.) Once safely saved on your hard drive, you should then be able to simply double-click on the icon to open it. As with my other work, I encourage you to duplicate this file and share it with your friends. I only ask that you keep the author and copyright information intact with any posting or emailing you might do. My many thanks to Kurt for his superb engineering skills. I hope you enjoy this recording as much as I do. Copyright 1999, Jason Pettus. All rights reserved. |
