One night I decided to do a self-portrait with an e.e. cummings poem painted on my face. Why? Because I was a pretentious undergraduate little shit, that's why. For those who are curious, the poem is the one that begins "The first of all my dreams was of a lover and his only love" (the line painted on my face); the painting and the shooting was done by my friend Chris Rock. I have a much better photo from this shoot somewhere in my parents' basement; I will get it scanned in and posted later this year.
