I have taken a whole variety of different photos in my life, using a variety of cameras and techniques, both film and digital, color and black-and-white. As an additional challenge, there are actually two websites where I post current photos: this main database, of course, but also my account at Flickr, so as to be a part of the massively fun conversation going on there as well. This page is an attempt to lay out everything that's here, and where to find it all.

The Flickr account is where to see the absolute newest photos taken with my mobile device (a Palm Treo), updated daily from wherever I am, as well as every photo I've taken since summer 2004, in the archives. Current photosets there are also linked to on my front page. Because there is such an overwhelming amount of photos there in the archives, now just hundreds and hundreds of images, I've decided to just leave them there for now and not try to incorporate them into this main website.

What the photo category here points to, then, are the photographs I took before 2004, on a variety of equipment: on film from 1989 to 1994, then with a Quickcam (1997-99), Casio wristwatch camera (2001), and Handspring (2002). The category also contains albums of special significance, like all the photos from a particular international trip. Finally, this is also where you can find a whole page of self-portraits, for those who are curious. (Please note that hardly any of this material is online yet; it is slowly being imported this spring and summer.)
