Grid down! No party! Linden make Hulk MAD!

So no, you didn't miss the release party for issue 1 of our new magazine last Friday; turns out that the entire grid was down at the time it was supposed to happen, so everyone missed the party, including myself. Grr! And it's not just the party that was affected either; turns out the grid was down almost the entire weekend, which means that I didn't have the time to prepare a new entry for the blog today either.

Now, the good news is that the party's been rescheduled to this coming Friday, October 13th, at the same times they were supposed to happen before (12pm SLT for Europeans, 7pm for Americans). And the better news is that this gives me an entire extra week to work on the party -- which means that this time the HUD version of the magazine will be ready for free download, and the music working right, and notices placed in the events calendar well ahead of time, etc etc. And this will also give me a chance to do an interview this week with Szentasha Salome, the designer providing clothes for the mini-fashion show happening at our party, and to give you a sneak preview of the clothes the ladies of xXx Fantasy Escorts will be showing off while there, so that's good as well.

Of course, I'm not sure what to say about the delay having to happen in the first place; and of course of the growing problems I'm having these days, trying to get a new piece of decent-sized content up here every 24 hours. I admit, it's difficult to do stories about a virtual universe, when that universe is closed for hours at a time every single day; believe me, it's frustrating me as much as it is all of you these days. Anyway, hopefully by tonight or tomorrow I'll have a chance to start getting some new stuff up here at ITG; and of course I very much appreciate your patience, as I myself sit around patiently waiting for Linden to take care of the rapidly growing technical problems they're having with the grid these days.

I feel your pain. A number of us are on IRC (EFnet #secondlife) and have also moved to third party messenger + Skypecast to converse. Of course my job is to promote machinima within Second Life so the attacks don't make it very easy. Hang in there! :D

For what its worth, a number of people did indeed show up for the party on Friday. Hopefully this weeks update won't be as painful as this past weekend was and the rescheduled party will actually happen.
