Happy day! My favorite publication of all time, pop-culture zine Boing Boing, mentioned the interview I did with science-fiction author JC Hutchins today. See, one of the editors there, sci-fi author Cory Doctorow, is a Second Life nut too; he's an avid player, and has already made a number of public appearances there himself. Doctorow's also a big proponent of such things as free online content and user-created contributions; so I figured the combination of it all in Hutchins' story would appeal to them all over there. And apparently it did.
I'm a long-time reader of Boing Boing; all the way back to the '80s, when it was known as a paper zine called 'bOING bOING' and was just impossible to track down each issue when you lived in the middle of Missouri, like I did at the time. I love almost everything they link to in their modern blog formation, so it's a real treat for me that they would include ITG in their 'directory of wonderful things.' Thanks, Cory; and hey, when are we getting you all to come out to Chicago sometime? My RL arts center would love to host an appearance, if you all ever find yourselves in our neck of the woods.
