the tao of now
eGAD! gad publishing company chicago usa

In 1999, enamored with the poetry-slam style of performance but tired of the rigid time constraints, I decided to write a series of dyanamic performance pieces that would last from five to fifteen minutes apiece. Given what was interesting me about literature that year, most of the pieces ended up being about midwestern white-trash society--metal bands, decaying suburbs, rusted-out 1974 Novas, and the sometimes still-beautiful things that can come out of such an environment. The result is this book, easily the most popular book of everything I've ever published.
