In 1998 a writer named John Biederman started a new monthly publication here in Chicago called "Tunnel Rat," dedicated to covering the burgeoning poetry boom our city was currently going through. I was the design editor for "Tunnel Rat" and also occasionally conducted long-form interviews with various members of the poetry community. I ended up culling together three such interviews--and now that "Tunnel Rat" has been out of print for several years, I thought I'd republish the interviews in book form, for the sake of posterity.
