Cellphone Photographs 2007
Although I'm better known now as a writer, photography was what I actually majored in during college, and was my major creative outlet for many years. In recent years I've gotten back into the daily habit again of shooting the incidental moments in life around me, because of a series of cellphone cameras I've now owned; in fact, I've taken and posted so many shots online that it can sometimes be intimidating to the first-time visitor. Here then, what I consider the most interesting 200 or so photos I shot in 2007, out of the 1,200 or so I shot altogether, laid out in a book format for sending easily to a color laserprinter when the boss isn't looking. I'll be publishing a book like this each year in the future as well, for those who prefer not wading through the mass of images I post online every year; I'm also hoping to go back and do similar books for 2004 and '05, at the same time that I'm republishing my old college photography books from the '80s and '90s.

Many thanks to reader Steve James, by the way, for donating a Pro account for me there two years in a row now, so that I can post that many photos in the first place.
