Here's why I like Creamed Corn:

1. Because they rock. Because they sound a lot like the Pavementesque school of pop music but with their own subtle brand of edginess that I think can only be produced by being a band in Chicago. Because they are very serious about their music, and their shows, and they have the right combination of playfulness and self-deprecation to make them major players in the future.

2. Because, out of all the women Eric has the opportunity to date, he's dating Debbie (even though it's supposed to be a hush-hush thing, per Deb's wishes, but we all know anyway). And if anyone deserves to date a crazy rock star, it'd be Deb.

3. Because we're all friends, so a certain amount of liking them is built in just because I've hung out with them.

4. Because they're about the only thing in the whole city that could make me walk in the rain for twenty minutes just to hang out in a room where the woman I'm falling in love with is hanging out with her boyfriend.
